What makes a vessel work
A vessel works when it holds its shape after the midnight feeling is gone. It should be beautiful enough to keep, dense enough to use, and structured enough to hand to someone without explanation.
The season provides the frame. The vessel provides the structure. You provide the intent.
Bundles
A bundle is compression as judgment: what deserves another cycle. Not everything from last year. Not a fresh start. A considered carry.
One promise
Not a list. One load-bearing thing stated plainly. It should survive being read in March without explanation.
One scientific question
A question you are genuinely uncertain about. Something real enough to return to. The question outlasts the year if it is the right one.
One mathematical habit
A problem family, a visualization practice, a daily estimation. Something that builds intuition slowly.
One culinary ritual
A dish, a fermentation, a preparation. Something you make once and return to each year. The ritual carries memory.
