The merge operator overlays fields so their relations become visible. It is integration without pretending sources were always one thing.

Overlay, compare, or combine fields. A merge should preserve source identity enough that the integration remains inspectable.

Merge is superposition: two fields occupy the same reading surface long enough to form a third relation.

A merge brace carries paired charge. It should show both incoming vectors rather than hiding conflict under a smooth result.

Prefix &x primes a unit for integration. Postfix x& marks that the unit remains mergeable after reading.
