. Baseline

. settles on the local default, the way back from a lift or a projection. The runtime calls it ground; baseline is its public alias.

Return to the local member or default lens. The cast releases. The field stays.

The mark is the zero of this room. The deepest panel on the page still belongs to this ground.

The brace settles. Excess charge leaves, and the field remains at the local zero.

Prefix .x reads a member through the default register. Postfix x. marks a return to rest after the unit resolves.

Take this example apart in the parser: each mark becomes a token you can inspect, and the parser says whether the source rebuilds exactly.
