The reference operator carries relation without forcing immediate commitment. It keeps a path, memory trace, or anchor warm enough to resolve later.

Resolve or inspect a reference. If the target is absent, the reference should still reveal its literal path or intended relation.

Reference is potential difference: the felt pull between here and elsewhere.

A reference brace stores deferred charge. It biases projection toward a target without pretending the target is already present.

Prefix ~x reads the next unit as relation. Postfix x~ marks the residue of unresolved relation after contact.
