Octvember: costuming

A costume can be an affirmation: a way of saying yes to someone you are becoming. The change it brings is worth noticing slowly, the way any practice is learned. The sheet below keeps what it affirmed, what stayed, and what you are still learning.

^"costume_sheet"

The costume sheet

A character sheet for a costume, kept the way a character sheet is: one line each, filled in as far as you mean it, and returned to as you learn.

who you appeared as: the figure, character, or name. A costume, a character, a voice.
what it affirms: what the costume says yes to: a self you are growing into, a value, a joy. Name it plainly.
where you met it, who taught it: where the costume or the practice came from, and what is not yours to claim.
what stayed: what remained after the night. It may be more than you expected.
what you are still learning: change is a practice. Name what you are still working out, and when you will look again.

Drawing through October

October's drawing prompts sit on the Inktober shelf at RPG Wednesday, one a day. A costume can be one of them.

Opened . What I make of costuming is mine to write, and I am returning to this.
